Soham History Group, is part of Soham Museum’s outreach programme and holds bi-monthly public history talks at the Methodist School Room, Berrycroft, Soham. Aside from local talks by the museums own Peter Cox 'Soham by the Sea' and Chairman, Donna Martin 'Soham Pubs', we have had the pleasure of introducing some of the best speakers on historical subjects from across East Anglia.
The talks have always been well attended, but in the past year we have seen a considerable increase in our audience numbers. Soham History Group is now noted as one of the most successful local venues of it's kind. The organising committee put this down to booking excellent speakers well in advance, and a good team effort on the night. Visitors can expect a cheerful environment, raffle and museum book stall, an excellent evening of entertainment, and free refreshments.
Admission prices are a bargain at £2.50 per person, but becoming a member or 'Friend of Soham Museum' at an annual cost of £10 offers even better value, and a warm welcome awaits.
